Trail Head:
The Mousetail Landing State Park trail head for the day use area trail is just behind the visitors center and the trail head for the Eagle Point trail is just before you get to the visitors center on the right. The trail head for TVA Lady's Bluff is just a few miles from the park on Lady's Bluff road. You can simply follow the signs to get there.
Difficulty:
The trails I hiked are not hard at all. However, the Eagle Point trail would be harder due to distance
Hiking the Trail:
Mousetail Landing Scenic Trail: For the day use area scenic trail just begin behind the visitors center. After short hike the trail will go left or right. You can hike it either way. You will just loop around through
the woods and end up back at the visitors center. In all, it's just under three miles.
TVA Lady's Bluff Small Wild Area Trail: You start at the trail head. In a short distance you will see a kiosk with a trail map and other information. The trail is an out and back
so just stay along the trail. After about 1.3 miles or so you will end up at the end atop the bluffs. Enjoy the view for a while and then head back the same way you came in.
Scenery:
At Mousetail Landing the day use area scenic trail will give you good views of the forest area. The Lady's Bluff trail has some wetlands near the belonging and then a scenic view of the Tennessee River when you reach the bluffs.
