Rock Spring Nature Trail

Intro:
The Rock Spring trail is a short trail located just off the Natchez Trace Parkway, around mile marker 330. This short 20/30 minute hike will take you across Colbert Creek via a stone walkway and around by rock spring.
Trail Head:
Located just off the Natchez Trace Parkway near mile marker 330.
To access the trail head: You can't miss it, it's near the parking area
Difficulty:
The trail is well maintained and easy to hike.
Hiking the Trail:
From the trail head you will hike a short ways until you reach Colbert Creek. From here you walk across the stone walkway. This is where a short loop through the nature area begins. You can hang a left here and this will take you along the creek towards the beaver dams. After viewing the scenery here you will continue back into the woods and enjoy the scenery in the woodlands of middle Lauderdale County. Finishing the loop, you just walk back across the creek and to the parking area.
Scenery:
The Rock Spring Nature Trail will give you awesome views of a pond area created by the beaver dams on Colbert Creek, and also the woodlands of middle Lauderdale County, AL.
Trail Maintenance:
The trail is very well maintained
Facilities:
There are no facilities here except a picnic area.
