Wade Mountain Trails

Intro:

Wade Mountain is owned and operated by the Land Trust of North Alabama. The Wade Mountain Preserve is located very near the Toyota Motor Manufacturing plant and Toyota even encourages their employees to volunteer to do work on the trail. Offering over 8 miles of hiking trails, Wade Mountain is a great place to get away from the headache of the city for a while. The trails offer great views of Huntsville.

Trail Head:

The east trail head is located just off Spragins Hollow Road, and the Wade Mountain Greenway trail head is located just south of Toyota Motor Manufacturing on Pulaski Pike.

To access the trail head: The trail head is right there at the parking lot, you can't miss it!

Difficulty:

The trails can be a little physically demanding on the steep parts. Some areas may get slippery after a rain. Overall they are easy.

Hiking the Trail:

The Wade Mountain Trails offer great views. From the east trail head you can access the Devils Race Track trail, then take the Wade Mountain trail, and loop back to the Rock Wall trail to get in a great two to three mile loop. On the West side you can take the Wade Mountain Greenway trail towards either the Bostick trail or the Fossil Bench Trail. The Bostick trail will give you great views from the west side of Wade Mountain.
